LEWISTON — Jeanne T. Cote, 81, formerly of Summit Avenue in Lewiston, died Thursday evening at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, following a long illness, with her family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston May 1, 1931, the daughter of Kenneth and Jeannette (Belisle) Hodsdon .
Jeanne attended local schools and was a 1949 graduate of Lewiston High School. Following her education, she was employed for Ward Brothers and the Carriage House Cards and Gifts for many years. She married the love of her life, Paul A. Cote, on May 31, 1952. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and was always loyal to her faith. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and swimming in her pool.
Survivors include her daughter-in- law, Denise Cote of Auburn; two grandchildren, Scott Cote of Astoria, N.Y., and Angela Tornblom and husband, Jason of Auburn, Mass.; and also surviving is her close friend, Rose McCloskey of Lewiston.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul; and her son, Daniel Cote; and sister in law, Pauline Gagnon.
