LEWISTON — Jeannette B. Vachon, 81, formerly of 20 O’Connell St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, May 10, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 28, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Armoza Dupere Beaulieu. Educated in local schools, she married Gerard L.A. Vachon in St. Mary’s Church on May 16, 1953. Mr. Vachon passed away on June 20, 1986.
A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, she volunteered for many years at the Good Shepherd Food-Bank. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved cooking for family gatherings.
Survivors include a son, Raymond and wife, Joline, of Lisbon Falls; a daughter, Linda and husband, Raymond Begin, of Lewiston; a brother, Maurice and wife, Madeline Beaulieu, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Michelle and husband, John Blais, Gerry Vachon and Adam Begin; and two great-granddaughters, Myriah and Autumne Blais. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and loving cat Dottie.
