Jeannine M. Belskis


RUMFORD – Jeannine M. “J.B.” Belskis, 74, died Friday, April 21, at her home on the Eaton Hill Road, Rumford.

She was born in Rumford on Jan. 12, 1932, a daughter of William and Florida (Lanteigne) Legere, and graduated from Stephens High School in 1950.

J.B. was employed as a waitress for many years at Freddie’s and the Far East restaurants.

She was a communicant of St. Athanasius – St. John Church, and enjoyed playing cards with the girls, walking, and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.

She was married in Rumford, on May 29, 1954, to Frank Belskis who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include three daughters, Janet Haines and husband, Joe, of Manchester, N.H., Doreen Williams and husband, Sam, of Waterbury, Conn., and Linda Roberts of Hilton Head, S.C.; two sons, Frankie Belskis and wife, Debbie, and David Belskis and wife, Theresa, of Mexico; three brothers, William Legere and wife, Dot, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Albert Legere and wife, Shirley, of Englewood, Fla., and Roger Legere and wife, Francoise, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a sister, Odile Cayer of Palmetto, Fla.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Arthur Cayer.
