MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Jerry R. Williams, 80, of Livermore, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Myrtle Beach, S.C., where he was wintering with his son, Michael. He was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of Frank H. Williams and Florence H. (Olson) Williams. He attended school in Buffalo and continued his education in forestry. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. On Aug. 2, 1962, in Germany, he married the love of his life, Eleonore Marie Loesel, of Germany, having spent many happy years together prior to her passing in 2015.

Jerry worked as a forester for International Paper Co. at the Woodlands Division. He was a member of the International Paper Quarter Century Club, a deacon and member of the North Livermore Baptist Church and member of the Oriental Star Masonic Lodge 21. He is survived by his sons, Frank Williams and his wife, Lisa of Dover, Pa., Mike Williams of Livermore and Peter Williams and his wife, Hollie of Clarkston, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Eleonore; his grandson, Terrell Williams; and his brother, Thomas Williams.
