Jesus Party to begin new catechism classes

LEWISTON – The Jesus Party inner city youth ministry has announced its 2007 catechism classes. The ministry’s director, Douglas Taylor, will focus on the year-long theme, “Operation ‘Love Thy Neighbor’.”

The use of the Little Folk Visual Flannel Graph will be used to illustrate New Testament teachings on such topics as giving, love, mercy, forgiveness compassion and faith.

Children will view a variety of character-building films, have sing-a-longs, snacks and behavior incentive prizes.

Catechism classes are open to children 5 years old and up at 6 p.m. Fridays at the Jesus Party headquarters, 291 Bates St.

The Jesus Party is a domestic nonprofit faith-based organization and does not charge for its services. For enrollment information, call 786-5568.
