RAYMOND — Jody Sailor, 38, formerly of Gray passed away unexpectedly May 2, at her home in Raymond.
She was born Nov 3, 1971, in Portland, attended Gray-New Gloucester High School and obtained her GED with high honors.
In her adult life, she was a homemaker who loved to cook, whipping up delicious meals without cookbooks.
She loved traveling, especially to Arizona, Las Vegas, Aruba, and cruising the Mediterranean. She was a self taught horticulturist, spending hundreds of hours learning about and creating beautiful gardens. Her passion for dogs led her to become involved with the Boxer Rescue League, where she took in dogs needing a temporary or permanent home.
She was a beautiful person who had such a warm heart and will be missed so deeply by everyone she has touched.
She is survived by her parents, George and Sandra Sailor of Gray; an older sister, Kim Fairhurst, husband, Spencer and her children, Alice and Harlow of Auckland, New Zealand; a younger sister, Lynn Sailor and her children, Stephanie, Grayson and Olivia; two uncles, Maurice Gogan, his wife, Helen, of Malden, Mass., and Ron Sailor, his wife, Donna, of Gorham; as well as several cousins. Mark Flanigan, Jody’s significant other for more than 15 years lives in Raymond.
