Johnson, Sea Dogs rally, win in 12th

PORTLAND (AP) – Jay Johnson drove in two runs in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Portland Sea Dogs rallied from behind to beat the Bowie Baysox 3-2 Saturday.

Johnson, who joined the team only hours before game time, went 3 for 5 with two doubles and David Murphy homered.

The Baysox (12-10) took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on Ryan Hubele’s RBI groundout.

Murphy’s homer tied it in the bottom of the ninth.

Bowie edged ahead 2-1 in the top of the 12th on Brooks Badeaux’s RBI single.

Trailing in the bottom of the inning, the Sea Dogs (12-10) capitalized on a hit batsman, Chad Spann’s single and a wild pitch to put runners on second and third before Johnson’s double plated both.
