COVENTRY, R.I. — Joline Delores Longtin, 72, of Old Orchard Beach, died Monday, Dec. 8, in Rhode Island, with family by her side following a long illness.
She was born to the late Florian and Violet Longtin on May 17, 1942, in Lewiston.
She is survived by a son, Scott Dubois of Fyvie, Scotland; a sister, Sandra Longtin, of Rhode Island; and a grandson, Joshua Longtin, of Lyman. She was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Richard Longtin; sister, Carol Longtin Bartholomew; and her beloved shih tzu, Phoebe. She is also survived by five nieces and one nephew, six grandnieces and four grandnephews.
Joline graduated from Western State College of Law in 1982 with a Juris Doctor degree. She was employed as a litigator by Safeway Stores while residing in Southern California. Prior to her law career, she resided in Africa.
She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while abroad and in California and Maine. She enjoyed painting, classical music, creating multicultural cuisine and gardening.
