MINOT – Joline E. Martin, 74, of Minot passed away Monday Oct. 8, 2018, at the D’youville nursing home following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1944 in Minot, Maine. She was the daughter of George S. Yeaton Sr. and Leona Haley Yeaton.

Joline attended Mechanic Falls High School. She married Richard Martin June 16 2002 in Turner. They had been together many years before.
Between the two of them they had five children, Doreen, Jimmy, Donna, Richard and Wendy.

She worked in shoe shops in Lewiston/Auburn, and did the books for her husband’s shop. Most of her life she was a seamstress with such talent and was very crafty and made everything for everybody. She had extensive collections of elephants and thimbles. She often wrote poetry in her earlier years. She loved going on motorcycle runs with family and friends.

She was a member of the congregation of Jehovah Witnesses in Auburn and developed many close friendships within the group.

She was a “Beautiful Dreamer”.

She is survived by Richard Martin (husband); daughters Doreen Huston(Mark) of Greenwood, and Donna Bridges (Phil) of Scarborough; two sons Jim Ring (Jean) of Oxford and Richard Martin Jr. of Oxford; 12 Grandchildren: Derek Delaney, Dani Lavoie (Chad), James Ring( Kristina), Jen Mcavoy, Don Hawley Jr, Mark E. Huston, Crystal Michel, Saree Boutin, Nancy Huston and Rafael Powerly, Sebastian Chamberlain and Abriel Chamberlain; 12 great grandchildren; a brother Elwood Yeaton of West Paris. (Laurise ); her best of friends Mary Ellen Sjostrom of Auburn and Ellen Pratt of Minot; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Wendy Chamberlain; a son Ronnie Ray Ring; Siblings, Clarence Seavey, Josephine Seavey Wills, Elman Seavey, Willis Grover, Earl Grover and George S. Yeaton Jr. and her favorite pet dog, Ellie May.

A gathering to celebrate Joline’s Life and to pay your respects will be Sunday Oct. 14 between 12-3 p.m., at the home of Reggie and Ellen Pratt, 223 Harris Road, Minot, Maine.
