Joseph Leo Roy

CANTON — Joseph Leo Roy, 86, formerly of Sabattus Street, Lewiston, died Saturday, March 13, at the Victorian Villa after a long illness.
He was born in Auburn, Jan. 21, 1924, the son of William and Methelda (Bertrand) Roy.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II as a military police officer.
He worked for many years as an electrician at Bates Mill. He was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
He is survived by his sons, Phil Roy and companion, Judy Tracy, of Jay, Richard Roy of Century, Fla., Bob Roy of Auburn and Clifford Roy and companionm Jessica Lagrange, of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite Roy; his son, Michael Roy; and daughter, Jackie Roy.
