LEWISTON — Joshua “Red” G. Allen, 32, of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 4, 1983, the son of Glenn and Dianna (Asselin) Allen and he attended schools in Auburn.
He was recently employed for Formed Fiber in Auburn for the past 2 years.
Red enjoyed the local music and also heavy metal bands including thrash and Slayer. He was a dedicated fan of the Ryan Newman Band.
He was known around town as “Red” and “O’Malley.”
Apart from the music he loved, Red also enjoyed any kind of motor sports, especially dirt bikes and racing cars.
He also enjoyed socializing with friends, in particular where the music was loud. He was loved by many for his fiery character and was always quick to to act when injustice was encountered.
He is survived by his father, Glenn Allen; his mother, Dianna Polland; his twin children, Avis and Ivan Allen; his sisters, Destiny Novak and Katye Allen; his grandmother, Dolores Asselin; and his companion, Liberty West.
