Judge orders arrest for suspect charged with criminal threatening

AUBURN — Justice William Stokes issued an arrest warrant Thursday for Bud Madrid Roddy, 40, of Leeds, who failed to appear in Androscoggin County Superior Court on Thursday morning to answer accusations that he fired a gun during an argument.

Roddy already was facing felony reckless conduct with a firearm as well as criminal threatening and violation of condition of release.

He was arrested Aug. 25 after a fight between his family and a neighbor’s family.

Amid the fight, Roddy reportedly went home and returned with a gun, according to police. He ran home again, then fled into nearby woods and was arrested after authorities spotted him with night-vision glasses.

Pending his arrest for failing to appear in court, Roddy will be held without bail until he makes his initial appearance, Justice Stokes ordered.
