Kahkonen – Bourassa


HARRISON – The wedding of Bethany Lynn Kahkonen and Joseph Henri Bourassa III was held at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 in Harrison. Elizabeth Bullen, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bourassa is the daughter of James B. and Marie L. Crowley Jr. of Weld. Mr. Bourassa is the son of Joseph H. and Sharon L. Bourassa Jr. of Oxford.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother and her older brother, Robert F. Kahkonen III, wore an ivory gown with periwinkle trim and carried a bouquet of pastel roses and wild flowers.

Florence M. Maddocks, older sister, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Jennifer A. Kahkonen and Jessica S. A. Laming, sisters, and Cathy F. Kimball, best friend.

The father of the bridegroom, Joseph H. Bourassa Jr., served as best man, and ushers were Michael J. Bourassa and Stephen W.A. Bourassa, brothers of the bridegroom, and Zachary O. Jett, friend. Eric R. Maddocks, nephew, was ring bearer.

A reception followed in Harrison. The couple is planning a trip in the fall. They are residing in Oxford.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Bakerstown in Poland and is a child care provider.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Mechanic Falls Adult Education and is employed at Johnson and Jordan as a plumber.
