AUBURN – The L/A Senior Hockey League will be holding its final registration to play in the summer league on Sunday, March 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pettingil Park Pond House.
The men’s division will play on Sunday nights starting at 6:15 p.m. The age to participate is at least 25, but please attend if you are at least 21.
The women’s division will start play on Friday nights and then move to Monday nights in June. All levels of play are welcome, as the league is hoping to expand the women’s division. Age to play is 18 and older. There are many levels of play and ages in the league.
Season will consist of 18 games. This is an organized structure. Cost to participate is $250 if you are already registered from this past winter season or $275 if you are a new registrant.
Teams will be formed the weekend of April 9-11. Season starts the weekend of April 16-18.

New England champs raising funds for trip
SKOWHEGAN – The Central Maine Youth Hockey Girls Tier 2 team won the New England Regional Championship and has been working to raise money in order to compete in Nationals in Lansing, Mich., April 7-11. The team has been fundraising to cover the costs. CMCC softball clinic
AUBURN – The CMCC Softball team is holding a clinic Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at the CMCC gymnasium in Kirk Hall. The clinic includes three hours of throwing, fielding, hitting and baserunning and a game. It is open to all ages. Players will be put in groups according to their age. Each participant is encouraged to bring a glove, a batting glove and a bat. Following the clinic, coach Scott Lovejoy will give a pitching clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. You are asked to supply your own catcher.
