Larry A. Billings Sr.


WOODSTOCK – Larry Allan Billings Sr., 58, of Norway died unexpectedly Monday, July 16, after a short illness.

He was born May 23, 1949, in Norway, the son of Donald and Audrey Crocker Billings. He attended school in West Paris and served in the U.S. Army for three years.

He worked in the woods, starting at a very young age until his illness. He enjoyed working in the woods with his father and brothers. He especially enjoyed working on his skidder, “Keewissahl.”

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed softball and entered many tournaments with his children. He was a true Yankees fan. He also enjoyed many years of bowling with his mother, brothers and sisters. His true love was for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his fiancee, Janet Cote of Norway; two sons, Larry Billings Jr., and his fiancée, Megan Hutchins, of Mechanic Falls and Donald Billings, and his companion, Stephanie Bowie, of Mechanic Falls; two daughters, Debra Cote, and her husband, Tim, of Minot and Cindy Noyes of Mechanic Falls; the mother of his children, Jennie Billings of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends; his siblings, Delbert Lovell, and his wife, Jeneva, of Mount Reiner, Wash., Donald Lovell of Norway, Beverly Chenery, and her husband, Clayton, of South Paris, Danny Billings, and his wife, Judy, of Bryant Pond, Lloyd Billings, and his wife, Brenda, of Cumming, Ga., Brenda Cox of Norway, Linwood Billings, and his wife, Debbie, of Norway, Leland Billings, and his fiancée, Kathy Porter, of South Paris and Tony Billings, and his wife, Tammy, of Keys, Fla.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a daughter, Paula Ann Billings.
