Late blight disease to be discussed


FARMINGTON — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension, Franklin County office, will offer an opportunity to learn about the plant disease late blight, at 6:30 p.m. Monday April 26, at the University of Maine at Farmington, Lincoln Auditorium, Robert’s Learning Center, 270 Main St.

Late blight is the disease which led to a devastating loss of potato and tomato crops in Maine last year. Attendees will learn what causes late blight and how to help prevent another epidemic. There is a $5 fee payable the night of the class.
