Lawrence “Tag” Taylor


1950 – 2014

LEWISTON — Lawrence “Tag” Taylor, 64, of the Dickvale Road in Peru, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness, with loving family at his side.

He was born in Rumford on Jan. 30, 1950, a son of George D. and Marie (Dunham) Taylor. Tag was educated in Dixfield schools.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. Tag was employed with Guilford Railroad for many years.

He loved hunting, fishing and all sports. Tag also loved spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved yellow lab “Brodie.”

Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Robinson, of Peru; children, Ryan McDonald and companion, Lorie Wilson, of Rumford, Debbie Farnum and husband, David, of Woodstock, Bill Trenoweth and companion, Lori, of Peru, Sandy Martin and husband, Tim, of Dixfield and Julie Hall and companion, Chris Becker, of Clinton; brother, Bob Taylor and wife, Sue, of Dixfield; 12 grandchildren, Andrew McDonald, Josh and Tyler Mason, Kelly Hall, David Farnum Jr., Devin Farnum, Bruce Hall Jr., Darren and Dustin Farnum, Joe and Bob Heikkinen and Sara Martin; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents.
