Corps meeting

LEWISTON — The Marine Corps League, Central Maine Detachment, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Multi-Purpose Center, Birch Street.

Library fundraiser

DRESDEN — The Bridge Academy Public Library will have its annual book, plant and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at the library, 44 Middle Road.

The fundraiser will be held rain or shine. There will also be raffles for items and gift certificates donated by local merchants. For more information, call 737-8810.

Church yard sale

MECHANIC FALLS — The Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Ransom Church at 117 Elm St. will hold its annual indoor/outdoor garage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12.

Anyone interested in renting a table for $15 or two tables for $25, may call Josie Hebert at 345-3274. A light luncheon will be available for purchase.

Grange to meet

AUBURN — The Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 27. During the meeting, the first and second degrees will be conferred on new candidates. If any area Grange has candidates waiting to take their degrees, they are welcome to bring them to the meeting.

The program will be a memorial service. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome.
