Lisbon parade route

LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Memorial Day parade will form by 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 31, by Crafts Sales, Route 196, and step off at 9 a.m.

The parade will proceed to Main Street; then School Street to Addison Street; right on Addison to Campus Avenue Monument for a service; then to Berry Avenue and back to School Street; right on Route 196 and then to the high school for a longer service.

Marchers will be bussed to the former Lisbon Elementary area for reassembly, then to Village Street; right on Village Street to the bridge for a ceremony; then to the monument at Post 158 on Webster Street for the final ceremony. Marchers will be served soft drinks and hot dogs at the post.

Dempsey Center workshop

LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free workshop titled “Colors, Chakras and Energy” to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers, at 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 14, at 12 High St., conference room I.


Presenter Marcy Covey will explain chakras, the energy centers in bodies and how the colors we wear and surround ourselves with can influence the energy flow within us. The workshop is part of the ongoing “Growing through Cancer” series.

Litchfield parade

LITCHFIELD  — The William R. Bold American Legion, Post 181 will sponsor the Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 31.

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. and leave from the Central Fire Station on Hallowell Road and proceed down Plains Road to the monument within the Plains Cemetery, just opposite the Plains Road Baptist Church.

Military ceremonies will take place at the monument. Refreshments will follow at the post.
