Between 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, and 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, Lewiston police responded to 583 calls for service. Of those calls, 151 were motor vehicle stops.

A vehicle parked at 76 Oak St. had its tires slashed overnight Feb. 20 – Feb. 21.
A vehicle parked at 24 Elm St. was damaged on Feb. 19 at 11:27 p.m. when a juvenile male struck it with a metal pipe. The suspect was described as being 16 years old, wearing a black-and-white, large-checkered, short-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
A residence at 17 Owen St. was egged overnight Feb. 24 – Feb. 25.
A vehicle parked at 22 Farwell St. was keyed overnight Feb. 20 – Feb. 21.
An entry door to an apartment at 43 Bradley St. was damaged during an apparent attempted burglary that occurred overnight Feb. 24 – Feb. 25. No entry was gained.
A vehicle parked at 172 Pine St. had its windshield broken sometime overnight Feb. 20 – Feb. 21.
Motor vehicle burglaries
A vehicle parked at 231 Stetson Road was burglarized overnight Feb. 23 – Feb. 24.
A vehicle parked at 65 Central Ave. was burglarized overnight Feb. 20 – Feb. 21. Change and a school bag were taken.
A vehicle parked at Sparetime Recreation at 24 Mollison Way was burglarized sometime prior to 11 p.m. on Feb. 20. Nothing was taken.
An apartment at 62 Riverside St. was burglarized on Feb. 22 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Feb. 22. Entry was gained by forcing a door. A TV, DVDs and prescription meds were taken.
Maine Awards at 9 Westminster St. was burglarized overnight Feb. 23 – Feb. 24. Entry was gained by prying the door on the Weybosset Street side. About $20 in change was taken as well as two TVs from apartments above the business. One of those was a 46-inch Vizio.
An apartment at 219 Pine St. was burglarized sometime on Feb. 20. A debit card was taken.
An apartment at 17 Jefferson St. was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Feb. 19, and a laptop was taken. Entry was gained through an unlocked door.
On Feb. 23 at 10 p.m. a white male, approx 5 feet to 5 feet, 6 inches tall, small build, wearing a red long-sleeved “US Polo Association” sweatshirt with a tear on the back and a bright blue knitted face mask, robbed the Big Apple at 1892 Lisbon St. with a serrated kitchen knife. The suspect fled on foot.
Operating under the influence
Derek Prescott, 30, was charged with operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident on Feb. 20 at 8:58 p.m. at the corner of Randall Road and Hillview Lane after his vehicle struck another vehicle at the red light.
James Girardin, 53, was charged with operating under the influence on Feb. 20 at 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Bates and Lowell streets.
Michael Mecham, 21, was charged with operating under the influence on Feb. 21 at 1:32 a.m. at the corner of Oak and Union streets.
David Witas, 41, was charged with operating under the influence, violating conditions of release and leaving the scene of an accident on Feb. 24 at 8:11 a.m. at the corner of Lincoln Street and South Avenue after a head-on collision.
Operating after suspension
Claude Plourde, 48, was charged with operating while license suspended and operating without a license on Feb. 21 at 12:35 a.m. at the corner of College and Montello streets.
Floyd Goding, 20, was charged with operating while license suspended and operating with suspended registration on Feb. 22 at 11:59 p.m. at the corner of Russell and College streets.
Glenn Kirouac, 21, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for disorderly conduct.
Corinne Montminy, 33, is wanted on a warrant charging engaging in prostitution.
Augustine Cachu, 21, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for incest.
