Incident Report Statistics

Between 7 a.m. Friday, April 23, and 7 a.m. Friday, April 30, Lewiston police responded to 743 calls for service. Of those calls, 261 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

An entry door at 48 Oak St. was tagged with graffiti overnight April 28 — April 29.

An electrical box was tagged with graffiti overnight April 29 — April 30. “Fame” was written in black marker.

A vehicle parked at 10-2 Hillview was keyed at 4:20 p.m. on April 24.

Several vehicles at Lilly Transportation at 855 Lisbon St. were vandalized and had windshields broken overnight April 25 — April 26.

The Continental Mill at 2 Cedar St. was tagged with graffiti overnight April 28 — April 29.

Motor Vehicle Burglary

A vehicle parked between the helicopter pad and the parking garage at Central Maine Medical Center was burglarized prior to 10 p.m. on April 25.

A vehicle parked at 1459 Sabattus St. was burglarized prior to 6:30 p.m. on April 25. A purse was taken from inside.

10 vehicles in the Louise, Irwin and Beckett street areas were entered between 8:30 p.m. on April 27 and 6:30 a.m. on April 28. Three vehicles had money or change taken from inside, the rest were just rummaged through. All of the vehicles were unlocked.

Burglaries

An apartment at 2 Granite St. was burglarized sometime between 4 p.m. on April 28 and 11 a.m. on April 29. A window was broken to gain entry. A PlayStation 3, Sony 52-inch LCD TV, and a Sony laptop were taken from inside.

A residence at 10 Lemieux St. was burglarized between April 17 — April 23.

An apartment at 144 Bates St. had a wallet and cash taken from inside overnight April 23 — April 24. Entry was gained by an unlocked window.

Thefts

A motorized bicycle was stolen from Dunkin’ Donuts at 590 Main St. on at 9 a.m. April 29. The suspect was a white male who left heading toward Strawberry Avenue.

A projector was stolen from room 300 at Pettigrew Hall at 300 College St. sometime prior to April 21.

A black, silver and blue Trek 750 mountain bike was stolen from outside of 7 Vale St. between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 26. A bike lock was cut in order to take it.

A Bates College student had an iPod stolen from his room at 78 Campus Ave. sometime prior to 1 p.m. on April 26.

A bike was stolen from 386 Pond Road prior to April 24.

A misplaced wallet was stolen from the counter of the Post Office at 49 Ash St.  at 2 p.m. on April 27.

A black and white Schwinn mountain bike was stolen from outside City Hall at 27 on Pine Street prior to 11:30 a.m. on April 26.

Robbery

The 7-Eleven at 345 Main St. was robbed at knife-point at 2:30 a.m. on April 30 by a male and a female. The male suspect was described as 30-plus years old, 6-feet tall, thin build, approx 165

pounds wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans with a light blue scarf around his face. The female was 5-foot 4-inches, thin build with a pink hat, jeans and a white shirt.

Operating Under the Influence

Matthew Nadeau, 23, was charged with operating under the influence at 2:20 a.m. on April 24 at 210 Randall Road.

Michael Leclair, 25, was charged with operating under the influence at 12:57 a.m.on April 25 at the corner of Central Avenue and Sabattus Street.

Kevin Fontnette, 49, was charged with operating under the influence, and operating after license suspension at 12:55 p.m. on April 25 at the corner of Lowell and Middle streets.

Wanted

Mohamed Abdirahman, 24, is wanted on a warrant charging probation violation.

Jerome Pitts, 30, is wanted on a warrant charging termination of bail.

Benjamin Ayer, 19, is wanted on a warrant charging criminal mischief.
