Lewiston dog licenses due

LEWISTON – Dog owners have until February to register their dogs without being fined $15.

City dog licenses expire each year on Dec. 31. City Clerk Kathy Montejo said the city does allow a month-long grace period. Licenses cost $10 per dog, or $6 if they have been spayed or neutered.

The city charges an additional $15 late fine if the dog is registered after Jan. 31.

Licenses may be purchased at the clerk’s office in City Hall, 784-2956, ext. 214, for more information or visit the city’s Web site at www.ci.lewiston.me.us/clerk/doglicense.htm.
