LEWISTON — Police are investigating a Monday afternoon robbery of drugs from a Lewiston pharmacy.
Police responded to a report of a robbery at Rite-Aid Pharmacy at 315 Main St. at about 3:45 p.m. An employee reported the theft of OxyContin from the pharmacy.
Lt. Mark Watson said that a man passed a note to an employee at the pharmacy and got about 10 OxyContin tablets. Watson said that the man never indicated that he had a weapon, just passed a note to the pharmacy employee demanding the narcotics.
Watson said no additional description of the man was available as of Monday night. He added that footage of the suspect showed that he had clothing covering his face. Watson said he was unsure exactly how many people were in the store at the time of the robbery, but indicated that he thought it was one employee and one customer.
