Library to host an English tea

AUBURN – The Auburn Public Library will host its first fundraising event, an English tea, in its new Androscoggin Community Room from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, to benefit the library’s annual appeal. As part of the event, director Rosemary Waltos will give a brief talk about the renovated library.

The tea will feature homebaked small foods and teas served on fine china. Tickets are $7 a person and may be purchased at the library’s lending services area on the first-floor concourse beginning Monday, May 15, or at the door on the day of the event.

As part of the tea, there will be English tea gift basket raffle. Tickets may also be purchased at the lending area.
