Life Line Screening set for June

AUBURN – Life Line Screening will be at the St. Philip’s Catholic Church, 2365 Turner Road, on June 9 to assess residents on their risk of having a stroke. Appointments will begin at 10 a.m.

A stroke, also known as a “brain attack,” is ranked as the third-leading killer in the world, and the second among women.

Screenings involve the use of ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, which can lead to a stroke; aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which are a predictor of heart disease. Bone density screenings to assess the risk for osteoporosis are also offered.

Each screening requires 10 minutes or less to complete. A complete vascular screening is $109; include the osteoporosis screening, $129.

For more information regarding the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call 1-877-237-1287. Preregistration is required.
