Lisbon High School held its annual Art Show on Wednesday, May 3 and Thursday, May 4, 2006 on the LHS Campus. Students showcased a variety of different media including photography, drawings, pottery and 3-D art. Under the careful direction of the Lisbon High School Art Teachers, Elaine Cyr and Pamela Ouellette, the students have been working diligently throughout the year to complete the work displayed. Community members were invited to attend the two day event displayed in the high school library. Classes from Lisbon Community School and Philip W. Sugg Middle School were given the opportunity to view the display during the day on Thursday, May 4. The annual display is the capstone event of the LHS students’ artistic achievements. The exhibit was viewed by over 300 people from the town of Lisbon according to Art Teacher, Elaine Cyr. “Visitors were very impressed with the talent put forth by our students and their range of creativity.”
Selected pieces from the show will be featured in the upcoming issue of the special art edition of The Advocate. The art showcase will remain displayed at the high school for viewing purposes during the Lisbon Town Meetings scheduled the week of May 15.
