Lisbon man wanted by police

LISBON — An arrest warrant for a former Lisbon man has been issued for failing to appear in court after his December indictment on a variety of theft charges.

Lisbon police said they are looking for Edward B. Robinson, 31, formerly of Lisbon. Last month, he was indicted by an Androscoggin County grand jury on multiple offenses, including felony receiving stolen property and misdemeanor theft, all related to numerous theft complaints in the town.

Police said Robinson is linked to thefts in nearby towns as well as some in northern Maine.

Among the thefts Robinson is alleged to be involved in is one last fall involving expensive wheels and tires taken from a custom off-road vehicle parked at a Lisbon repair shop. Police said the tires and wheels were valued at nearly $1,700.

Police are looking for Robinson and are encouraging anyone with knowledge of his location to contact their local police.

Lisbon police said Friday they do not believe Robinson is linked to a theft ring that has stolen items from homes and businesses in Lisbon in several surrounding towns over the last few months.
