BOOTHBAY HARBOR – The wedding of Stephanie Anne Liteplo and Benjamin Rolfe Trafton was held at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Boothbay Harbor. The Rev. Frank Murray officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Trafton is the daughter of Merrill and Maya Liteplo of Carlisle, Mass., and Boothbay Harbor. Mr. Trafton is the son of Richard and Barbara Trafton of Auburn.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length strapless gown of ivory silk organza trimmed with Alencon lace and her full-length mantilla veil was trimmed with matching lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white, pink and coral roses with accents of ladies mantle.
Erinn McNeill and Jessica Raymond, school friends, were maids of honor, and bridesmaids were Kathryn Kessler, Kristen Liteplo, sister-in-law of the bride, and Abigail Trafton. Junior bridesmaid was Emily Trafton, sister of the bridegroom.
Samuel W. Trafton served as best man for his brother, and ushers were Theodore and Willis Trafton, cousins of the bridegroom, and Mark Liteplo, brother of the bride.
Readers were James Thompson and Elizabeth Hickey, and soloist was Merrill Liteplo, performing the Celtic Alleluia and The Call by Ralph Vaughn Williams.
A reception followed at the Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Harbor, after which the couple traveled to California. Following a year in London, England, the couple will reside in Cambridge, Mass.
The bride attended Concord, Mass., High School and Carlisle High School. She is a 2000 graduate of Bates College and is currently enrolled in the master’s degree program at Boston College. She was employed as account representative at Biogen in Cambridge, Mass., before moving to England.
The bridegroom attended Holderness School and is a 2000 graduate of Bates College. He is employed by Endeca Technologies of Cambridge, Mass., and is currently manager of sales engineering in the London office.
