FARMINGTON — A Livermore Falls man pleaded not guilty Friday to stealing a wallet and using a credit card in it to buy more than $1,200 in food, gas and merchandise in October 2013.
Robert T. Judd, 34, entered his pleas in Franklin County Superior Court to three felony charges of forgery, one count of felony theft by receiving stolen property with priors and a misdemeanor charge of misuse of identification.
The wallet is believed to have been stolen Oct. 3 at a business in Livermore Falls, Jay police Detective Richard Caton IV said last year. Caton said police were able to prove Judd used the credit card by viewing surveillance videos at businesses in Farmington, Jay, Livermore Falls and Wilton.
Judd will remain free on a Maine pretrial agreement and conditions that include no contact with the owner of the wallet and credit card.
