Local roundup: Lewiston frustrates Winslow


LEWISTON — Six different players scored a goal as Lewiston took down Winslow with a 6-0 victory in a Class A girls’ hockey game Wednesday night.

The Blue Devils jumped out to a 4-0 after the first period and added two more in the final stanza.

Monica Field, Allison Frechette, Lauren DeBlois, Jaylin Cloutier, Brianna Girardin and Corinne LeBerge each scored goals for the undefeated Blue Devils.

St. Dom’s 6, Brunswick 4

AUBURN — Callie Samson and Jessica Boulet each scored two goals as St. Dom’s slipped away from Brunswick with a 6-4 victory in a girls’ hockey game Wednesday night.

Alexis Kesaris and Tia Rotolico also scored for the Saints.

The Saints scored three goals in the last period to shake the Dragons.

For Brunswick, Anna Webster and Tessa Cassidy scored a pair of goals.

Leavitt-EL-Poland 3, Falmouth 1

FALMOUTH — Three goals in the final period erased a deficit and lead the girls’ hockey team from Leavitt-Edward Little-Poland to a 3-1 win over Falmouth on Wednesday.

Angel Drouin, Marah Vaillancourt and Emma Martineau each had goals for the Red Hornets (3-0) in the final period.

Falmouth (2-1) took the 1-0 lead with a Sarah Hutcheon goal 25 seconds into the game. The Red Hornets tied it at 1:57 on Drouin’s goal in the third. A power play goal from Vaillancourt made it 2-1 and Martineau sealed it late in the period.

Savannah Shaw had 12 stops for the Red Hornets while Mary Hyland dhad 17 saves for Falmouth.
