BATH — St. Dom’s scored six unanswered goals in the second period to break the game open and remain unbeaten with a 16-4 victory over Morse in a boys’ lacrosse game Tuesday.
Troy Haefele and Tim Day led the Saints (8-0) with four goals and three assists apiece. Matt Adams and Anthony Fagone chipped in with three goals each, while Trevar Haefele scored once and assisted on six others. Shawn O’Connell rounded out the scoring.
Pat Wolfe led Morse (4-4) with three goals and Alexander Paulus had one.
Cody Rodrique stopped 16 shots in the Saints goal, while Matt Perry made 15 saves for the Shipbuilders.
Lewiston 9, Mt. Blue 6
LEWISTON — Sam Cloutier led a four-goal outburst in the final quarter to rally Lewiston to a 9-6 victory over Mt. Blue in boys’ lacrosse.
The Cougars (2-8) opened up a 3-1 and 5-3 advantage after the first two quarters behind the play of Ethan Kyes.
Limiting Mt. Blue to one goal in the second half, the Devils (4-5) roared back to tie the game by the end of the third quarter, then took the lead on Cloutier’s goal. Cloutier, Scott Mason and Erik Tiner then scored three goals in a span of two minutes to put the game out of reach.
Cloutier finished with four goals, while Mason added three goals and Tiner two. Mason, Ryan Lemelin, Eric Michaud, Elliot Chicoine, Cody Dusseault and Chris Rancourt all had assists.
Jesse Leeman was credited with nine saves for Lewiston.
Kyes scored four goals for Mt. Blue, while Dillon Gustis had 16 saves.
Messalonskee 12, EL 7
AUBURN — Nate Delgudice scored five goals and teammates Cody Zegenrus and Ryan Bender each dropped in a pair as Messalonskee (8-1) gave Edward Little the slip with a 12-7 victory Tuesday.
Messalonskee built a 7-4 lead by halftime and held off the Red Eddies (5-4) in the second half.
For Edward Little, Tim Brodsky and Cody Meserve did the bulk of the scoring, each turning in a hat trick. Tom Lynch scored and assisted on four others.
Gardiner 11, Mountain Valley 8
RUMFORD — Becca Paradis and Jen Day scored four goals apiece to lead Gardiner to an 11-8 come-from-behind victory over Mountain Valley in girls’ lacrosse.
Ayla Allen scored four goals in the first half to lead the Falcons (2-4) to an 5-3 advantage. After the teams swapped goals to open the second half, Gardiner (5-3) went on a roll to rally and pull away for the victory.
Allen finished with five goals, while Tia White added two goals and an assist and Nicole Lavorgna scored once.
Haley Theriault made 13 saves for the Falcons, while Shawna Moulton and Holly Thibeau combined for 16 saves.
Richmond 8, Buckfield 4
BUCKFIELD — Richmond pounded out five extra-base hits, including a Ben Carver triple, and overcame a three-run deficit to post an 8-4 victory over Buckfield.
The Bucks (1-8) took a 3-0 lead in the first on three hits and four walks, but only scored once the rest of the way.
The Bobcats broke through in the fourth with four runs, before putting it away with a three-run outburst in the sixth.
Jarek Boyd had three singles and an RBI for Buckfield. Austin Dooley and Jeffrey Pepin each had two hits. Pitcher Dalton Hart struck out six.
