Long scores six for Devils


NEWCASTLE – Mallory Long netted six goals as Lewiston posted a 14-6 victory over Lincoln Academy in girls’ lacrosse action Tuesday.

Amie Daniels tallied four goals, while Kristen D’Eramo, Lyndsie Dostie, Tanya Galipeau, and Devon Daigle each added a goal apiece for the Blue Devils. Goaltending duties were split between Mary LeBlanc and Tasha Tardif, who combined for nine saves.

Kristy Hammond scored all six goals for the Eagles.

Oxford Hills 15, Camden Hills 1

NORTH ANSON – Hillary Aube, Abigail Levine, and Kari Pelletier each tallied three goals as Oxford Hills dominated over Camden Hills 15-1 in KVAC girls’ lacrosse.

The Vikings (1-1) scored four unanswered goals in the first half, giving them the offensive edge they needed.

Jaimee Brett chipped in with a pair of goals, while Meredith Vieira, Tanya Berry, Kaitlin Crockett, and Halie Gilman each added a goal and an assist. Oxford Hills outshot Camden Hills by a commanding 30-3 advantage.

The lone goal for the Camden (0-2) effort was scored unassisted by Chelsea Labree.
