Census enumerators have now been at work for three days. Good progress has been reported being made in Lewiston and Auburn and it looks now as if the greater part of the work will soon be accomplished in the 15 days given. People for the most part are assisting the enumerators willingly and little trouble is being experienced in getting the desired information. The only trouble being experienced is where the people are unable to speak English and it looks now as if this difficulty will soon be overcome by hiring interpreters.

The Flock Buick Co. in Auburn will expand its line to handle the new Studebaker Lark, President Philip Flock said last night. The company will continue to offer the same Buick sales and service but will augment the Buick line with the compact Larks said Flock.

The car will be available in a complete line from the two-door sedan with standard shift through the convertibles and station wagons.

LISBON — Selectman James Bennett, at a meeting of the board this week, said that if articles for the annual May town meeting were placed in a hat, it would boost attendance.

He suggested that individual articles be put into a hat, drawn out, then placed on the meeting warrant in the order they are removed from the hat. Bennett said he hoped maybe this would help increase attendance at the town meeting. No action was taken on his suggestion, but one person said it would be too confusing to the voters to mix up the warrant.
