LIVERMORE FALLS — Louise (Strout) Jones Field, 86, of Livermore Falls, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Livermore, the daughter of Basil B. Strout and Iris E. Lord. She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. After graduation she enrolled in cosmetology school in Lewiston and worked as a cosmetologist for 33 years. She later worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital as a patient representative and switchboard operator.
On June 25, 1950, she married Louis G. Jones, enjoying 43 years of marriage before his passing on Feb. 14, 1994. She later married Edward Field on Aug. 4, 1998.
She enjoyed square and round dancing and was a member of the Triple Town Swingers. She was also a member of the Moose Hill Baptist Church, the Farm Bureau and New Norland Grange.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Field, of Livermore Falls; her son, Martin Jones and his wife, Carol of New Hampshire; her daughter, Luanne Stiles of Livermore Falls; her stepchildren, Patty Hurd and her husband, Nelson of Livermore Falls, Rosie Richmond and her husband, Bob of Jay, Bob Field and his wife, Lori Baker of Manchester; her niece, Lorie Vincent of Winthrop; and step-niece, Debbie Greenleaf of Livermore Falls; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Louis Jones; and step-granddaughter, Kellee Fortier.
