Lucienne A. Poliquin


LEWISTON – Lucienne A. Poliquin, 94, of Gina Street, died Wednesday, April 5, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a resident for two months.

She was born in Auburn, Oct. 9, 1911, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Lefebvre Bedard. She was educated in Auburn schools and was married to Laureat Poliquin, who predeceased her Feb. 25, 1961.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in local shoe shops as a fancy stitcher. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Ladies of Holy Cross and enjoyed knitting and dining out.

She is survived by a son, Robert L. Poliquin and his wife, Anita, of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Bedard and his wife, Jeannette, of Auburn; and a daughter-in-law, Francoise Poliquin of Lewiston.

She was also predeceased by two sons, Marcel at 2 years old and Normand on Aug. 22, 2004.
