Lynn Deeves & Band will play Johnson Hall

GARDINER — Lynn Deeves & Band will bring its versatile mix of originals that merge folk, blues, rock and gospel influences to Johnson Hall on Saturday, March 10.

Usually a solo performer, singer-songwriter Deeves will be joined by area musicians Robby Coffin on guitars and vocals; Scott Elliot on bass and vocals; and Alfred Lund on percussion, drums and vocals.

Deeves is known for her rich, soulful voice combined with a sharp wit and dynamic stage presence. Her music celebrates spiritual growth, nature, diversity and humor.

Deeves honed her stage and vocal skills traveling the Northeast as lead singer in high-energy rocks bands during the 1980s and 1990s. Since 1996, she has released four independent CDs of original songs. She has been named Maine Female Vocalist of the Year and selected as runner-up in the New England Songwriter contest. She has shared stages with America, Janis Ian, Cheryl Wheeler, Catie Curtis and Ellis Paul.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults; $6 for students to age 22. Johnson Hall and Francesca’s Restaurant, both on Water Street, are offering dinner and a show for $30.
