Madison earns doctorate

FARMINGTON — Marie Wade, director of physical rehabilitation and sports medicine at Franklin Memorial Hospital, announces that Marco Madison has completed his doctorate of physical therapy degree from the University of New England, being the first physical therapist in the department to do so.

Madison completed a post-professional transition doctorate, intended for practicing clinicians who graduated with their bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. It allows these professionals to continue in their educational experience and advance their degree to that of the doctorate in physical therapy.

Madison has worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital as a physical therapist for 12 years. He provides physical therapy services at Franklin Memorial Hospital Outpatient Services in Livermore Falls every Monday through Wednesday, and on Fridays, treating orthopedics, sports medicine injuries, neurological conditions and work-related injuries.
