Maine man killed in N.B. crash


MONCTON, New Brunswick (AP) – A Rockport, Maine, man was killed in a one-vehicle accident near Moncton on Friday.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said a family from Rockport was driving to Nova Scotia for a wedding when the accident occurred on Route 1 on Friday afternoon.

The Mounties said the vehicle went off the road to the right, and the 40-year-old driver over-compensated, sending it back across the highway where it rolled. The driver, whose name hasn’t been released, was killed on impact.

His wife and two children were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
