AUBURN — Colonel Dan Leclair from Minot was among 69 students from across America in attendance at the Civil Air Patrol 2010 National Staff College held from Oct. 16 to 23 at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
The annual professional development opportunity employed a challenging curriculum to enhance the leadership abilities of members who are, or will be, assuming positions of regional and national importance within CAP.
Through seminar discussions, case studies and exercises, the students focused on executive leadership, management, organizational behavior and policy development.
Leclair, Maine Wing commander, has been involved in the Civil Air Patrol for a number of years. He is a retired veteran of the U.S Air Force. He served as the commander of the 077th Squadron in Auburn-Lewiston before becoming the Wing commander.
