Pat Jillson bottles maple syrup at Jillson’s Farm & Sugarhouse in Sabattus on Thursday. “We are off to a good start,” she said, adding that the sugar season came a little early this year. Jillson’s husband, Ed, said they had been boiling down sap for three days and had made about 50 gallons of syrup. He said the upcoming cold weekend will slow down the run, but the sap should be running again when the warmer weather returns at the beginning of next week. The Jillsons will give tours of the maple syrup process on Maine Maple Sunday, March 26.
