AUBURN – Marguerite B. Boucher, 84, formerly of Biddeford, died Thursday, May 4, at the Clover Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Biddeford, a daughter of Pierre F. and Beatrice L. Lavigne Leclerc and was educated in Biddeford schools. She helped to raise her younger sisters after the death of their mother.

She did domestic work for 10 years and worked for 20 years at the Webber Hospital and Southern Maine Medical Center, retiring in 1986, to care for her ailing husband and uncle.

She was very active at St. Joseph’s Church, where she was a member, serving as a lector, a eucharistic minister and as a member of the church choir. She loved reading and playing the organ for her own enjoyment.

Surviving are two sisters, Therese M. Martin of Framingham, Mass., and Francoise R. Ford of Mechanic Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emile R. Boucher, in 1987; and a sister, Cecile Levasseur.
