Marie B. Barker


WEST PARIS – Marie B. Barker, 84, of Main Street, Bethel, died at the Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris on April 11.

She was born in Bridgton on Dec. 2, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Cox) Trumble and was educated in local schools. She was a homemaker all of her life.

She was a member of the Bethel Senior Citizens, she loved to knit and crochet as well as doing crossword puzzles and going out to eat.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Barker and his wife, Angie, of South Paris and David Barker and his friend, Altene, of Norway; one daughter, Brenda Dyke of Bethel; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert F. Barker Jr. in 1981; two brothers, Malcolm Trumble and Walter Trumble; and three sisters, Charlotte Knight, Violet Knight and Constance Bennett.
