FORT WALTON, Fla. — Marilyn O’Leary, 82, died Tuesday, March 9, in Fort Walton, Fla., where she had spent her winters. She was a resident of Main Street in Mexico.
She was born in Rumford, May 30, 1927, a daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Moore) Brown. She attended Rumford schools. She worked as a clerk for Newberry’s and Rommy’s Market.
She was married in Rumford on Dec. 4, 1943 to Sen. Donald R. O’Leary Sr., who died in Lewiston on Jan. 23, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas O’Leary and his wife, Julie, of Crestview, Fla., and Donald O’Leary Jr. of Byron; three daughters, Donna O’Leary Martin and her husband, Louis, of Auburn, Jayne O’Leary Witas and her husband, David, of Lewiston and Melissa O’Leary and her companion, Tim Bouchard, of Lewiston; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Katherine Brown of Maryland; and a lifelong friend, Priscilla Blaisdell of Mexico.
She was predeceased by her husband; and a son, Timothy.
