LOVELL — Mary L. Woods, 66, of Slab City Road, Lovell, died Thursday, April 22, at her residence after a battle with cancer. She was born in Norway, the daughter of Oscar and Edith “Wiley” Carro Pulkkinen, and attended Norway schools. She was employed for many years in different shoe shops. After retiring, she kept busy by selling and buying at flea markets. Many people will miss seeing her at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds. She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Woods, of 52 years; one daughter, Donna Pepper and her husband, Scott; one son, Arthur Woods and his wife, Norma; one daugher-in-law, Lisa; one brother, Paul Carro and his wife, Geraldine; one sister, Noreen Hakala and her husband, Raymond; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and a son, Weston.
