LEWISTON — Maurice L. Hebert of Lewiston passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, at the age of 86.
Dad, you had a special way of teaching us, giving us and sharing your love of family and of life. You were able to teach each one of us to embrace every-day joys and activities like golfing, skiing, horseback riding and the outdoors. You and mom, on a life-long journey, taught us to respect ourselves and to make the most out of any of life’s many trials and tribulations.
A wonderful marriage that lasted more than 66 years, five children, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Many a romantic evening spent dancing the night away with mom at the Old Orchard Beach Pier with the big band, in Florida and all the local hot spots in the day. You were a mentor to many on the subject of great jazz and blues. You always reminded us that family comes first. You were always there when any of us needed you to lend an ear, get advice and help us in any way possible. You will continue to prosper through the lives of your family. You will forever embrace our individual memories of you and our lives together.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; his children, David and Debbie Hebert of Rangeley, Donna Hebert of Lewiston, Dennis and Monique Hebert of Lewiston, and Donald and Kelli Hebert of Lewiston; and brother, Paul.
He was predeceased by his eldest son, Daniel Hebert; and sister, Beatrice Lenhert.
Many thanks to the staff of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Dr. Kappelmann and his staff. Many heartfelt thanks to our sister, Donna, who gave her endless love, attention and care to our dad in her home.
