BETHEL — Charles “Chad” McGrew is announcing his candidacy for the Maine House of Representatives seat for District 91.
McGrew and his wife, Rene, have been residents of the Bethel area since moving to Maine from Alaska in 1986. McGrew began as a builder and Rene owned the Bethel Frame Shop. McGrew built homes and condos from Mt. Abram to Sunday River, and from Rangeley and Sugarloaf.
In 1997 he and Rene took over as general managers of The River View Resort on Route 2 in Bethel, and have been there since.
According to a release issued by McGrew, he is running as a moderate Democrat.
“I believe we need more businessmen and women in government,” McGrew said, “people who speak the same language and have a can-do attitude.”
McGrew will be campaigning throughout the district, and voters may also find information about his candidacy and contact him online at: www.chadmcgrew.com.
