MEXICO – The Police Department responded to 34 complaints in the past week, including the following:
* A Carlton Avenue resident reported Jan. 7 that sometime between Dec. 29 and Jan. 7, someone entered her home and stole an undisclosed amount of money.
* A Main Street resident reported at 4:11 a.m. Jan. 6 that she saw a male in her yard attempting to steal the battery charger for her car. Police arrived shortly after and were unable to find any suspects. However, approximately 30 minutes after the police left, the resident called again and reported that she saw two males running through her property, carrying armloads of belongings from her attached shed.
* At 6:51 p.m. Jan. 4, Peyton Provencher, 17, of Rumford, was driving north on Backkingdom Road when she attempted to brake, lost control of her 2001 Dodge due to the slippery road conditions and overcorrected the steering. The car rolled onto its roof and over an embankment.
Provencher reported head pain and was brought to the hospital by her parents. The car was reportedly totaled in the crash.
* At 9:05 a.m. Jan. 2, police arrested Marybeth Perry of Dixfield on charges of domestic violence and assault. Lt. Roy Hodsdon said Perry was released on $800 unsecured bail and has a court date of Feb. 5, 2013.
