MEXICO — Police are asking motorists to be cautious along the River Road following several recent car-deer accidents in the area:

* April 6, 6:16 a.m.: A Med-Care Ambulance vehicle received minor damage (under $1,000) when a deer struck a door at 654 River Road. The deer fled the scene.

* April 5, 8:41 a.m.: A 2005 Jeep Cherokee, operated by Joshua Lawrence of Peru, received more than $1,000 damage when it struck a deer at 609 River Road.

* April 4, 6:18 a.m.: A deer jumped the guardrail at 795 River Road and ran into a 1994 Honda operated by Jasmine Laskey of Mexico. The vehicle received minimal damage.

* March 29, 6:37 p.m.: A 2015 Subaru operated by Marie Lacroix of Peru received over $1,000 in damage when it struck a deer at 407 River Road.

Other incidents include:

* April 3, 7:06 p.m.: A Carlton Avenue resident was brushed by a white SUV as she crossed Main Street. The vehicle did not stop and the cart she was pushing was knocked over. The woman refused medical treatment. The case remains open.

* March 28, 6:13 p.m.: A Roxbury Road resident reported pills and prescription drugs taken from the residence. The owner was not home at the time of burglary. It was not a forcible entry and there is a suspect. Officer Caroline Casey is investigating.

* March 28, 3:51 p.m.: An Angie Lane resident reported furniture and a television, a total value of $2,100, were stolen from the home. There are suspects. Officer Robert Drouin is investigating.

* March 27, 9:08 p.m.: A Whitman Street resident reported more than $1,000 in silverware and antiques taken from the home. Entry was not forcible. There is a suspect. Officer Caroline Casey is investigating.
