AUBURN — Michael W. Till of Norway passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
He was born in Delaware, March 29, 1967, son of William and Lygia (Keller) Till. Michael retired from the U.S. Army, after serving his country proudly as a pilot and received numerous decorations. He was a member of the South Paris VFW.
Michael will stay in the hearts of all the people who cared for him. One of the things, I as his mother-in-law, will always remember about him was he had smiling eyes. He could hide behind a newspaper, with his whole face covered with nothing but his eyes showing and you could tell whether he was laughing or not by his eyes. He maintained a lot of his high school friendships throughout the years even though he was away so much. I know he enjoyed watching ball games on television with his sons and friends. If I am not mistaken, he also liked watching the Boston Bruins.
As we all know, he was a dedicated soldier with many accomplishments and I for one don’t know if I ever thanked him for helping to keep this country free, but I would like to think it is not too late, so thank you, Michael. I know you will be missed, but I also know the good Lord will be taking care of you.
He is survived by his wife, Amy (Moxcey) ; his children, Evelyn Till, Joshua Till, Joel Chanthou Till and Eli Vutha Till; brother, Christopher Till; and in-laws, Gerald and Merry Geisler of East Waterford.
