DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for people who are willing to display their military vehicles at the Western Maine Veterans Home in South Paris. The Advisory Committee raises funds for residents’ activities and is holding the event on Saturday, July 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free with donations being accepted for the barbecue. We are also in need of military re-enactors for an encampment. For further information, please contact me at 539-9021. — Debbie, email@example.com
DEAR SUN SPOTS: There is a great way to keep in shape and have a good time, too. Every Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m., we get together at Temple Shalom on Bradman Street in Auburn to line dance with our teacher, Marjorie Perkins. It only costs $4 each time, and you don’t pay if you don’t go!
We’d love to some new people join us. Marg goes over the steps before each dance — it’s easy, and practice makes perfect. If you have a few hours on a Tuesday morning, there is no better way to start the day. Call the temple at 786-4201, and come dance with us. No one is too young or too old to dance. come have fun! We’d like to get to know you.
Marg is starting a new class for beginners, and anyone else, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning April 6 and running through May 11. — No Name, Auburn
